Should I attend this course?
If you have recently been promoted or are about to take up
your first managerial or supervisory role, this course will
enable you to step into your new position with confidence.
You may have previously worked in a deputy managerial role,
and if so you will discover how to make the transition successfully.
You will learn the essentials of leadership, what your staff
will need from you, and how to get what you need from them
in return. You will also practise dealing with a number of
everyday situations commonly faced by managers.
In this highly interactive and practical course, you will
have the opportunity to get together with colleagues who are
also new or prospective managers, to share ideas, and to learn
through discussions and exercises.

of an effective leader.
- Explain the roles and responsibilities
of a manager.
- Identify your own leadership style.
